Here's a info summary. I have TONs of surgery info all over my twitter as well, so please check that out.
---
The procedure:
Rib 5 is detached from the sternum to let it flex more.
A little piezoelectric needle is inserted and pushed onto ribs 5-12 along your back, fracturing the ribs.
The surgeon then literally presses his hands on the rib, and leans in until it breaks.
Then you wear a binder for 8-12 weeks to set the ribs in the new position.
---
I did not get any other procedures other than ribs in this before and after! It's insane how much of a difference it makes. No ribs were removed.
---
The broken ribs healed and work just fine. The detached ribs from the sternum will partially reattach, but the connection is less strong. This is pretty minor and I haven't noticed any differences.
---
The doctor offer ribs 3 and 4 in the future, which I'll get when it becomes available. These will bring your boobs closer together, but the surgery is more intense. I've gotten many other surgeries.
---
The wrinkles on my skin are from my shirt. When wearing a binder, it presses your shirt against you, leaving impressions. They go away if I take the binder off. I'm slowly wearing the binder less and less.
