### Teeth
Most things about teeth you likely already know. Brushing your teeth is good. Additionally, using fluoride containing toothpaste is quite beneficial. get checked at a dentis regularly while issues remain managable. You can whiten your teeth if they are too yellow. Some foods/drinks stain your teeth more than others. etc.
Less common ideas:
#### Non-cavity causing bacteria
One main driver for tooth decay, is there there is a bacteria (S. mutans) that converts sugars (sucralose) into acids (lactic acid), and this disolves your teeth and makes them decay.
It is possible, however, to get bacteria that instead convert sugar into alcohols instead. This is slightly less metabolically favourable, so they modify the bacteria to produce an antibiotic, to be resistant to that antibiotic, and to not spread with other bacteria the code for resistance to that antibiotic. It is in general quite effective based on anecdotal reports.
There is some plausible risk that the alcohol in your mouth may cause increased cancer risk, but the baseline risk is quite low, ~5 in 100,000 incedence, ~1 in 100,000 mortality. It is unclear whether this bacteria increases cancer risk or by how much. As a upper-end estimate, we can see that heavy drinking causes ~5x mouth cancer risk compared to no drinking. The amount of alcohol produced by the bacteria would very little, but also it is quite concentrated in a single location. If you suffer from asian flush (ALDH2 deficiency), the risk is even more that you should probably not get it (again, risk is another 5-10x higher). It is not exclusive to asians, so you should test for the gene even if not before considering getting the bacteria.
The product avaiable is [lumina probiotic](https://luminaprobiotic.com/products/lumina-probiotic-cosmetic-toothpaste?) which is only approved to be sold as a probiotic in the US. To apply it, you will need a standard dental cleaning from any dentist to make it easier for the lumina bacteria to colonise your terth. Here is some discussion about it online:

#### GHK-Cu
Helps get enough copper around the body, useful for good hair / skin / healing. May be worth supplementing Zn if you take this.
Typical dose is like 1-2mg / day.
#### tb 500
Helps a bit with healing and reducing inflamation.
Normal dose is like 700ug/day.

If cut, there is potential research on avoiding scar tissue from forming. If cut, there is potential research on avoiding scar tissue from forming.
However, once cut, it becomes more difficult. afaik, the only method is to make a new incision that removes the scar tissue, and to try to alter the circumstances such that scar tissue does not form again (eg: by closing the wound more cleanly, by getting donor skin grafts (eg: micro coring, Micro-compound tissue grafting (MCTG)), or perhaps by inhibiting the pathways that cause scar tissue formation.

Unknown efficacy. Inhibits YAP/TAZ pathways. May be used to reduce scarring, but at the cost of increasing skin aging. There may one day exist other ways to induce TAP/TAZ (or downstream reduce cGASSTING activation) that reduce sking aging. Unknown efficacy. Inhibits YAP/TAZ pathways.
Lumina Probiotic worked for me!

In September, I applied Lumina probiotic[1]to my mouth. I did this around noon. I noticed effects within six hours. Usually my mouth would begin developing a... taste even just a few hours after I brushed my teeth. But at 6 pm that day, there was no off taste! And at midnight -- after dinner but before brushing my teeth -- still no off taste or bad breath. I kissed my girlfriend at the time, who remarked that my mouth tasted different. I brushed my teeth and went to bed around 1 am.

A strange thing happened. As I lay in bed, I began feeling some kind of sensation in my mouth. It's difficult to describe. It wasn't constant; it would come in waves or pulses. Sometimes it felt like nothing in particular -- maybe I was just being hyperaware of my mouth, like if somebody had told me to pay attention to what my tongue feels like. Sometimes it felt like... definitely something. It's not a sensation I had ever felt before, or have felt since the first few days of Lumina. The closest comparison I can make is to the feeling pineapple gives your tongue. It was slightly unpleasant and distracting. I actually woke up multiple times that night and I'm pretty sure it was due to that feeling in my mouth/tongue, because the feeling was the first thing I noticed when waking. I got a bit of this feeling the next day and night as well. And then it went away.

My Oral Background: I've had somewhat bad teeth my whole life. I had lots of cavities as a kid (but I didn't brush, lol). As an adult (I'm in my late 20s) I've had a few cavities. Before Lumina, my mouth would get an off taste very quickly after cleaning -- like, I'd start noticing in an hour (regardless of whether I ate). My teeth also would get "grimy" (non smooth feeling) in a few hours. In general I felt like I got bad breath significantly faster than other people. I had bad breath in the morning. I also had problems with my tongue; I had to tongue scrape twice (sometimes more!) a day, and a lot of stuff would come off. I didn't have any infections, this was just my life. I didn't have these mouth taste and tongue problems when I was a kid or teenager; they seemed to develop when I was about 20 and got worse over time.

Post Lumina: I wake up without bad breath. I only get an off taste in my mouth if my mouth has been dry or I ate something funky. This off taste is not accompanied by bad breath. I still have to tongue scrape regularly, and if I don't then I do get bad breath. In general my mouth just feels a whole lot cleaner. I haven't noticed any mild tooth pain from acidity or hot/cold (which I would occasionally get pre-Lumina).

^
