As of 2026 there does seem to be specific progress on this becoming better by surgeon Dr. Leif Rogers. He offers reshaping of ribs 5-12 by detaching rib 5 from the sternum and fracturing the ribs, and wearing a binder for 8-12 weeks, see this post by [@katkaldir on twitter](https://x.com/catkaldir/status/2033873660323500489){.source-link}, with plans to extend the surgery to rubs 2 & 3 also.
